The Sir James Knott Trust is introducing an online application which will come into effect on 31st March 2020 with the aim of making the application process the best it can be for users, and speeding up the process of applying for funding in these challenging times.

The form has been tested by and tweaked according to feedback to make it as simple and straightforward as possible.

The Trust is also providing accessible versions of the form for those who are partially sighted or have other needs and, if necessary, applicants can still send applications by email. There is expected to be a ‘settling in’ period with the new application process and the Trust welcomes feedback on ways to improve the form.

An additional change to the Trust's grant‐making, is that in future it will not require an umbrella organisation to hold a payment for non‐registered charities, community groups and social enterprises. The grant will be paid direct to the applicant. Normal checks and balances will still be followed.

The trustees and staff of Sir James Knott Trust hope these changes will improve its service for applicants, particularly while people are working from home.

Visit the Sir James Knott Trust website for new guidelines on how to complete the form. If you experience any problems, you can get in touch by emailing info@knott‐trust.co.uk.
